Convert routers to a Switch or a Hub wireless if you have one it’s easy

Convert routers to a Switch or a Hub wireless if you have one it’s easy by just disabling the DHCP. That’s correct, you can disable router function by simply disable the DHCP in the router then set it up as a Switch or a router.

For example taking the TEW-6399GR router from trendnet, to use it as a Switch do the following:

Please plug your computer directly in to one of the LAN ports in the router using a Ethernet cable.

Open your web browser and type 192.168.10.1 and when prompt use admin as the username and by default there is no password.

Once you have logged in to your router please click Network>LAN Settings.

Disable the DHCP server and change the ip address to an ip address not being used on your network.

Then plug a ethernet cable from one of the LAN ports in the main router to one of the LAN ports in the TEW-639GR and test your connection.
